» Hartland Abbey and Gardens
The Abbey was built in the 12th century, to serve Saint Nectan’s Church, and rebuilt in 1779.Situated in a wooded valley; the Abbey has lovely informal gardens and a woodland walk down to a beautiful secluded Atlantic cove.


» Arlington Court, nr Barnstaple
Arlington Court is a Regency house with period rooms and a magnificent newly opened carriage museum. The grounds are largely informal with large clumps of rhododendrons, hydrangeas, specimen trees and drifts of wild flowers in spring. There is a spectacular Victorian garden and a conservatory full of highly scented flowers.
