The Corona Virus is currently causing havoc across the country right now. This is especially so in the travel industry, with cancellations and travel bans affecting international travel. Thankfully, we are less affected here at Yapham. We are lucky in that North Devon, as a tourist destination, is less sparsely populated as some of the major tourist hot spots. Hartland itself is a quiet, tranquil area renowned for its relatively traffic free country lanes and leisurely country walks. Our three cottages enjoy three separate and private entrances. This makes us a relatively safe holiday destination, as it is possible to avoid the greater person to person contact experienced at the busier tourist locations.
As well as the virus itself, people are also rightly worried about the financial implications of booking a holiday at the moment:
"What if I suddenly need to self-isolate?"
"What if The Government advises against travel?"
"Is it a waste of money booking a holiday when I cannot get travel insurance to cover virus related issues?"
To try and put your mind at ease, we are providing guests with the ability to reschedule their booking with us. If your travel plans are affected by the virus, we will allow you to reschedule your holiday to a later date either this year or in 2021. The rescheduled booking will be for a similar length of stay and monetary value. If the period moved to is a higher price than that originally paid, then you simply pay the difference in price. Unfortunately, we cannot give refunds if the period moved to is of a lower value than that originally booked.
By doing this, you can rest assured that should you be no longer be able to stay with us on your originally booked date, you can easily just move your booking without losing your deposit or any other monies paid to us.
Please note that this only applies to bookings made directly with us. Bookings made through third parties will be liable to the policies of the third party e.g. Sykes Cottages, Booking.com etc.
Enhanced cleaning in light of Covid-19.
