All of our cottages are dog friendly! We have a dog ourselves and know how important it is to find accommodation where your four-legged member of the family is welcome too. Our cottages are located off a quiet country lane, down a 500m driveway, so there is very little traffic to worry about.
All of our cottages have enclosed gardens / patios!
Dogs are welcome at the property and we allow them to bring their two-legged friends to stay with them. We like to provide a doggy welcome treat along with our human welcome pack. Dogs can exercise their owners along our half kilometre long driveway, in our woodland walk and in our extensive paddock - ideal for playing throw and catch. We have an outside hose attached to the Nissen Hut, so you can wash muddy paws after walkies. Your owner can also borrow extra towels from the farmhouse to make sure you are nice and dry.
Doggies cannot wait to show their owners around Hartland. There are just so many places for walkies. There is the South West Coast Path, encompassing gentle sand dunes and dramatic cliff pathways. There are many trails and country lanes around Hartland, ideal for dog walkers. There are four heritage trails around the village, and as an added bonus, why not take a refreshment break in the dog friendly pubs along the way?
North Devon and North Cornwall have plenty of dog friendly beaches. We can walk to the Mouthmill beach or you can drive me to one of the other nearby beaches. There are some beaches I cannot visit at certain times of the year, but plenty of others open for doggie walks all year round. I can race along sandy dunes, splash about in the sea and rock pools, or you can throw me a pebble to chase along a rocky cove.
We can go into lots of places to have a rest after a long walk. Most of the pubs in and around Hartland will let their dogs bring their weary owners in for a bite to eat and a refreshing drink to eat after a day out together. I might even find a spot by a lovely, warm fire to have a little nap whilst I wait for you to finish your meal.
